The question I get asked weekly at our Movement Innovation Gym in Burleigh Heads…
In this blog, I’m going to give you the exact answer to why and how to fix this frustrating problem.
Now…
Training strength is going to be your best bang for buck. But you’re likely missing a thing called progressive overload.
What is progressive overload?
Progressive overload is a form of weight training where you gradually increase the weight, frequency, or number of reps in your regular strength training routine.
To improve your strength you must make the body uncomfortable by challenging it.
So, why do progressive overload? The ‘why’ can be summed up by a quote from Albert Einstein, ‘Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results’.
And the ‘how’ is by challenging yourself with either tempo, more reps, or more weight.
It’s a proven system that works on every single member, which is why we use it in all our strength classes.
P.s. if you aren’t a member and want some more info on our strength classes. Check them out here.
